Soybean Hybrid Trial Notes

This trial was the last trial we seeded and moisture was really depleted, creating challenges when setting seeding depth. We decided to set the drill deeper to 2 inches. We saw good germination and good start. As the season went along differences in maturity were obvious. Rapid drying conditions during harvest days resulted in more splitting than we hoped. Grain grades ranged from a # 2 to a # 5. We did see a frost before harvest and effects varied based on maturity.
